Almond bread

Ingredients

  • 455 ml (2 cups) beated homemade yogurt
  • 740 ml (3 ¼ cups) flour
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) baking soda
  • 10 ml (2 teaspoons) baking powder
  • 455 ml (2 cups) brown sugar
  • 227 g (1/2 lb.) crushed almonds
  • 90 ml (6 tablespoons) grated orange peel

Directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and baking powder. Add yogurt, brown sugar, almonds and orange peel. Mix well for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Pour the mix into a large 9.5 inch greased bread pan or round pan and cook at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes.
