Let’s talk about cultures storage, do you know the most effective way to store them?
We recommend you to keep your Yogourmet® cultures in the fridge or freezer. This allows the cultures to maintain their core characteristics such as bacterial concentration.
When cultures are stored at room temperature for weeks, the bacterial concentration can decrease and thus act differently during your yogurt or kefir process. In case you are planning to use cultures that have been stored at room temperature, you might want to increase the incubation period to compensate the possible concentration decrease.
