Fermentation process...What's that?

🌞 Did you know that...
Yogurt is made with milk that has undergone a fermentation process with two specific bacterial cultures: Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus. 🔬
These bacteria convert milk sugar, aka lactose, into lactic acid, which causes the milk to coagulate to form yogurt. Milk and bacterial cultures are the only two ingredients required to make yogurt. However, you’ll rarely find yogurts in grocery stores with such a short list of ingredients. 🍀🍀🍀
Milk ingredients, stabilizers, thickeners, colors (artificial or natural), sugars or sweeteners, flavors (artificial or natural), and so forth are often added. 🥛
That's why it's so healthy and tasty to make homemade yogurt! 🥰
